Mr. Helfand is Senior, Of Counsel and chairs the firm’s Financial Services Practice. One of the country’s leading authorities and practitioners in the area of creditors’ rights, he was a founding member of Helfand and Helfand.
For over 30 years, Mr. Helfand successfully represented many of the country’s largest banks, financial institutions, and public and private lenders, in all aspects of commercial and consumer lending, equipment leasing, secured lending, distressed assets, foreclosure, debt collection, replevin, bankruptcy, and all other aspects of creditors rights.
Mr. Helfand successfully collected millions of dollars of collateral, secured, and unsecured debt for his clients. He represents large, medium and small businesses, commercial and residential property, construction, professional services, heavy machinery and equipment, leasing, and hospitality. He works closely with the firm’s Litigation group to provide results-driven services and creative solutions for the firm’s clients across numerous fields and industries both nationally and regionally.
